Index Finger Pain from Pendulum Serve

Serving

Hi PingSkills,

I've noticed that if I do too many pendulum serves, the innermost knuckle of my index finger starts aching from trying to accelerate the paddle too much so many times. How can I prevent this from happening?

Thanks!

Hi Ryan,

Try holding the bat a little lighter in your hand.  The other thing to realise is that in a match you are not going to do that many serves in a row, so perhaps take a short break when doing your serving practice to allow the hand to recover.
