Why do I always lose so many games even though I know the techniques
Hi Taha,
Knowing techniques and executing them under pressure are two very different things. Losing often even when you know the shots usually comes down to decision making in real play.
A few common reasons:
Inconsistency under pressure: You may understand the mechanics but can’t replicate them reliably in matches.
Decision-making: Knowing a stroke isn’t the same as knowing when to use it in a rally.
Footwork and positioning: You might know how to hit a topspin but aren’t in the right position, so the shot fails.
Mental factors: Anxiety, rushing, or overthinking can make you tense, which ruins timing and spin.
Practice vs. match speed: You may be practicing slowly or against predictable feeds, but in a real game the ball comes faster and less predictable.
The way to bridge the gap is to train under match like conditions: fast feeds, random placement, and conscious decision making. Start with focus on consistency first, then gradually add speed, spin, and tactical complexity.
Basically: knowledge is just the start, execution under pressure is the skill you develop over time.
If you want, I can break down a step-by-step plan to turn technique knowledge into match-winning consistency.
