HI Malsam,
The key is to allow the bat to act like a rudder and steer the ball back onto the table. Don't try to do too much with it. Just use the angle of the bat.
This can be a bit of trial and error. If the ball goes off the side then angle the bat more.
The first important thing though is to have an understanding of how they generate the spin and what it looks like. Recognising spin is crucial in the process.
In our Receiving Secrets Revealed DVD we go through these things in great details and show you exactly what you are looking for and how to counteract the serves.

i think that dealin with VERY heavy sidespin is a fast speedy faultless attack. i ama much of an ameteur but i went to a club for a summer and played with a player who used a dhs h3 neo, a very spinny rubber. he didnt ude much b.spin or t.spin. his serves were mainly sidespinned. so what i used to do was to(i was an newb then) to hold the bat in the opposing direction to the spin but no matter how much i tried for placed block, i failed. the i went for attack and suprisingly won a lost game. so, my point is that attacking heavy sidespin overcomes the spin on the ball.

Hi Furqan,
You can overcome the sidespin by hitting the ball really hard but it is also a very risky stoke. It si better to learn the effect of the spin and be able to deal with it using your touch.
