How to return a long sidetopspin serve

Thanks to you guys I am now in the varsity but one problem I have a teammate in the varsity that he serves a sidetopspin serve that effectively goes to me because if I push it, it will fly high and he will smash it but you will suggest that I topspin it i will go to the net I need your help please.

Hi Martin,

You can topspin this serve.  You can also counterhit it back.  The topspin on the ball will allow you to hit over the ball.

Just make sure you allow for the sidespin as well.

The principle is still the same.  You can topspin all of these because the ball is long.  You just need to adjust the trajectory of your swing depending on the amount and type of spin.
