How to handle the spin service and flip

Hi,

i am Anandkumar from India and I am very beginners of Pingpong , but i like it very much and love it, most of my office members are experts and i am not able to touch their service, if i touch it flying here and there,

Could you please tell me how to place a bat and handle the spin service and place the ball inside.

I am also very tall 6.3 height and is that good to play pingpong or not, because i am not able to analyze the ball whenever i hit the ball, the ball flying outside of the table,

Please guide me .

Hi Anandkumar,

This is the hardest part of table tennis.

The quickest way to learn is to really watch the ball especially when it flies off and see exactly where it goes.  Track it well and this will give you lots more information for when you see the serve next time.

You need to just use the angle of your bat to steer the ball back.  If the ball flies off to the right then you need to angle the bat to face the left and so forth.

Height doesn't matter in table tennis.  World champions come in all sizes and shapes.

Keep battling through this.  It will all become better if you persevere.
