One of the main things to develop control is to hit a lot of balls. Start by hitting the ball slowly and working on your consistency.
This can only come with a lot of time and training.
You can also do things like tapping the ball on the bat initially or hitting the ball up against the wall. This all adds to the number of times you are hitting the ball with your bat.
It's important to be physically and mentally prepared when you step out onto the court. In this week's master class we discuss what you should be doing in the last 20 minutes before your match.
