How to defend long balls with heavy sidespins? Do I have to run around the table? Do you have any better strategies for defending?

Hi George,

I think the best thing is to topspin these.  It is important that you can move into good position to make this shot and allow for the flight of the sidespin.

If you can develop your Forehand and Backhand topspins then you won't have to do too much running.
