Training
Hi Alois
I was just wandering how you would become a professional, or even just a better player if there is no clubs around your area. I live in Northern Ireland and have recently discovered a passion for the sport. I am 14 and was wondering would I have to move when im 18 to become a pro. What can I do to improve my game?
Thanks
Galen
Hi Galen,
For now think about getting as much training as you can. If you have a table at home there are lots of drills that you can do. Take a look at our Training Drills. YOu can pick out some of these to train. Hopefully we will be able to help you with your game as well providing advice to you. You can purchase our DVDs as well for more information about the game.
You may have to travel to find a club to keep your improvement going.
Becoming a professional is a long road but a very rewarding one. Keep working at it.
Question actions
By throwing in some unexpected long returns you will keep your opponent off balance and this will make each short push you do so much more effective. That's why it's important to be able to return long. You've got 2 options. You can flick the ball or push it long and fast. This week our focus is on these types of returns.
