Hi, I'm Nishant.

I am able to perform a topspin or a smash on most of the shots. But I'm finding it difficult to hit a smash on low balls. I just try to lift the ball but the ball goes into the net, and it happens very frequently. I actually don't know what to do but I would like to have your help.

Hi Nishant,

If the ball is lower than shoulder height you should play a topspin rather than a smash.

The topspin will allow you to get the ball up over the net and then down onto the table.  The topspin forces the ball down.

Take a look at our tutorial on the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin for some help on how to play this shot.
