Hi guys,

Thanks for all the replies to my previous questions.

I try to practice twice or three times a week for about a hour each session ( maybe 2 hours it depends ) and I play league ( premier ) matches normally on Mondays unless I am playing away, and sometimes I play in a different league on Tuesday ( also premier ). In the league, I normally play on Monday, my average is about 60%. In the other league my average is about 44% but this is because I have only played 3 matches in that league.

I am wondering if I need to up my practice a bit.

Thanks

Matt

p.s. sometimes I play a match and I am 2 nill up and unfortunately I lose my mind thinking, I can't lose now that I am two nill up. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi Matt,

It sounds like you are in a some good leagues that will be ideal for you.  A mixture of wins and losses is a perfect place to be.

I think the amount of practice depends on your own situation.  In the ideal world it would be nice to practice 5 to 6 times a weeks for 2 to 4 hours but in reality that often can't happen.

Just see what you can fit into your week and also find players to train effectively with.

Regarding the losing from 2 nil up, when you start to get those negative thoughts, stop for a few seconds, take a nice deep breath and then focus on what you need to do for the very next point.  Those thoughts start to happen when you get too far into the future.  Get yourself back to the present time by focusing on the next point.  If you do that enough, the games will take care of themselves.
