Hello Coach,

You mention the we need bend so that our legs feel the burn in training? What would be a better indication that I have bent enough? Eye level at the net height can this be a indication?

Hi Swapnil,

The main aim for bending is to be able to activate your legs and move quickly.  If you bend too low you won't be able to push off effectively.  If you don't bend them at all you won't be able to activate your legs to be able to jump.  You need to find the happy balance where you can be ready to move.

For me to stay low enough, I bend my knees and core just enough until I feel slight muscle tension in my legs and abs. No need to overdo it, just enough to feel the tension yet still being comfortable to move freely. Surely if you have stronger lower body you can bend even lower, but the slight tension you feel should be a good indication that you bend low enough.
