Equipment
Hello,
I've purchased some rubbers but have decided I don't yet want to replace my existing ones. If I store the rubbers in their original packaging, away from light, how long can I expect these to last? If they can reliably last longer than a few months that is good enough for me.
I'm sure you can't give an exact answer as it would depend on humidity, temperature, type of rubbers, etc. I'm just looking for a good general guideline.
Thanks!
Michael
Hi Michael,
Rubber in its packaging will last at least a year and probably a lot longer as long as it is away from light and heat.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
