Hi pingskills. As an average how many meters I should be away from the table when making the topspin lob because yesterday I was practicing  and I find it really difficult for me lob . Although I am an aggressive player but I think I need to learn the lob when playing an attacking looper

Thanks a lot

Hi Yasir,

It is a matter of how hard are they smashing.  If you think about trying to get the ball around waist height then you need to be as far away from the table where the ball is at your waist height.

In general if you start about 4 meters back you will be in a reasonable position.
