How do you push to a short pimple player

Hi alois it's Raaquib here I'm really sorry for not replying back because I had lots of tournaments coming and going and i'm a friend of RAYHAN he to is on ping skills.

When I was playing a tournament, my second round player had short pimple so I didn't know how push with that rubber of his, so could you help me.

Hi Raaquib,

It is great that you have been playing a lot of tournaments.

If they push with short pimples it will not have as much spin as if they push with inverted rubber.  So you need to adjust your stroke for that.  Push the ball lower or make your stroke more vertical so the ball goes lower over the net.

Forehand Counterhit

The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:

  1. Your feet position
  2. Your start position
  3. Your finish position

If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
