Strategy
Hi Pingskills, how do i get used to using my forehand as i always use my backhand? My coach wants me to use my forehand more but i can't.I will end up losing the point.
Hi Ryan,
Try this simple idea. Just turn your stance a little to face more to the right. YOu only need to change this by a few degrees so that your right foot is slightly further from the table than your left. Then move a little to your left so that your bat is on the middle line of the table. In this position you will be more likely to be in a position to hit your forehand.
Also during training, set yourself a task of on;y playing forehands when the ball is in the forehand side of the middle line.
It is just about doing it more often and getting used to playing the strokes.
