How can I practice alone

For becoming a good table tennis player what should I do? I want to select in my school table tennis team but i don't know how to play? I want to practice but alone without any friend can u help me please

Hi Harsh,

Take a look through our lessons on Strokes & Technique.  These will give you a good grounding on how you should play your strokes.

You should then take a look at the lesson on Practicing Alone.  This will give you ways that you can improve your game when you don't have a training partner.

The Controller

Most drills involve one person performing the exercise and the other placing the ball as required by the exercise. We call this person placing the ball the controller. When you are acting as the controller it is a great opportunity to practice your blocking and concentration. As blocking is an important part of the game you should be 100% focused at this time. You also owe it to your training partner to be blocking effectively so they get the most from their exercise.
