Hitting the strokes too hard

Hello,

Jeff & Alois

I am an intermediate player, I am using stiga tube aluminum blade with Rakza X rubbers, I make the topspins too fast they are always on the table as  well as with very good speed & spin. But because of that my training partners are not able to block more than 5-6 strokes at a time or sometimes even less than 5. When I try to hit it slow than I mismatch the timing and not able to hit the ball or make a top spin, what should I consider on it. Is making a powerful topspin wrong or will it effect my consistency. If I might face any other difficulties with this please guide me for that. though my every topspin is on table and is at the same point ( approximately) I wish to hit at......

Hi Jayant,

In a match you very rarely have to hit more than 5 topspins in a rally.

So I would keep practising at that speed, especially if you are hitting them consistently and controlling the placement.

The Push in Detail

The humble push does not sound like an exciting stroke but it is one of the most important shots in Table Tennis. Having a great short push can be the difference between being an average player and being a great player. Make sure you allocate the appropriate amount of practice to mastering the push.
