Strokes
Hi coach
when i hit a backhand or forehand topspin the ball always hits at the edges. So plz tell me what i am lacking of or any other thing i could do.
Hi Utkarsh,
This is a skill you can focus on and improve. When you are practicing especially at the start of the session doing forehand to forehand consistency, just pay attention to where the ball is hitting on your racket. The more you do this, the better you will get at hitting the ball in the middle.
The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:
If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
