High bounce to backhand

Strokes

Hello Coach

At times I find that I receive a high bounce to my back hand (usually from a lob) and find it quite difficult to

hit the ball correctly at the top of it's bounce. I assume that you'd wait until the ball

drops to your correct hitting zone. I haven't seen any info on this shot but it would be

interesting to get your take on it.

Hi Eddie,

Take a look at this lesson on the Backhand Smash.  I think it will answer your question.

About the backhand smash-you once said that Longpips backhand smash is difficult.

But still possible.

So can you tell me how to do it,please?

You have to hit the ball the same way but because there is no spin on the ball, it will float straight through.  That means you have to be very accurate to get it on the table.

Thanks.

If I would be able to do it,I will get a lethal weapon.

I can get one out of 100 on the table, but that one shot is very rarely returned, even compared to my forehand smash
