For some reason my loops always miss the table i think im doing the stroke correctly is it because im putting too much top spin or speed?

Also how do you attack backspin? because smashing will make it go into the net and loop with sometimes work. Finally i see some people smashing a chop how is that possible (the chop is quite high)

Hi Raymond,

If you are putting too much spin you will find that the ball is falling short and going into the net. If this is happening, just flatten out the contact a little.

To attack backspin, use the loop or topspin stroke. You can see the lesson on this on our lessons page.  Look for the lesson on Forehand Loop Off Backspin.

Only if the ball is really high (above shoulder height) would I recommend smashing because you are right, the backspin will drag the ball into the net.
