Hi,

I'm from india.I was an intermediate player, played in school days. Now I just started off playing in my office. I was using stiga Hans alsar all round racket with Yasaka Mark V cobra.  Now if I go change the rubber which will be good and do I need to change my old racket?

Hi NithinKumar,

The blade is a classic and will still be good for you.

You can still get Mark V rubber.  Just change to some new ark V and you will be ready to go.

Hi Alois,

While sticking this rubber what kind of glue I have to use?can we use synthetic rubber base glue to stick the rubber?Or we have to use water based glue?

Last time I played for district level was in 2002. After that I didn't play table tennis for quite long time.So how should I start my practice. But problem is that non of my colleagues are ready to practice, all want to play a game. How can i make this situation as practice?

Alois can you tell me where is your training center. I may fly to Florida for my official work.I would like to meet you in person and get some good tips of table tennis. I keep watching your videos and try to correct my shots.

I would use the proper Table Tennis water based glue.  The rubber is too expensive to ruin.

We are in Australia.  We don’t have a training centre but use the site to help players.

Try to focus on one thing while you are playing games.  For example, think about the technique you are using for a particular stroke. See if there is a club in your area.

HI,

II just want to know in table tennis does glue play an important role? If yes then can you explain me

Alois Rosario

Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 8 years ago

It is not an important part now but it is important that you don’t ruin your rubber and that you can get it off again when you want to.

I got my mark v rubber for both forhand and backhand.used donic glue to fix the rubber.after playing I found that the rubber is not giving me what I want..I mean I get very less spin.especially topspin.I could get the same with other bats which is cheaper in quality. After some play my rubber seams to be smooth with out grip.do u think its d problem with rubber or gluing.

NithinKunar, can you tell what rubbers and blade have you been using before and why did you decide to change it?

Alois Rosario

Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 8 years ago

Hi NithinKumar,

The rubber should not be the problem.  Rub your finger across the rubber and see if it has grip.

NithinKunar Alkali Keeleri Posted 8 years ago

When I play for some time rubber surface become smooth.if I wipe my hand across it doesn't sticks

You can get rubbers from some Table Tennis clubs.  We don’t sell rubbers by themselves.

Hi DK,

I started playing table tennis with butterfly yuki pre made bat then switched on to   stiga Hans Alsar all rounder blade with yasaka cobra ***.that was my racket when I started playing tabletennis's.in 1994 till 2002 .Still I have the racket.. But it has a crack near the handle.Actually i went to change the rubber for that bat but the dealer showed me some rackets with new technology like carbon .so thought of trying it and made a custom bat.

D K Posted 8 years ago

If you have made the premade=>custom bat jump, just persevere and train to adjust it.

I have played with some premade bats too and when I switched to a custom bat it took more than a year to adjust it,regardless of what type of bat was that.

I do not know if it is normal,it is just my personal experience and I am very equipment-sensitive-I am not so far from the ability to tell if I am using Tenergy or Palio without seeing it or being informaed before
