Getting Caught wide on Backhand

Strategy

Hi

I have this problem when I get moved wide to the forehand then the next shot my opponent pins me on my Backhand side.  I just can't get in position to hit the Backhand. This has been happening a lot lately especially against Leftys.  This is what usually happens: I serve, they push me wide the forehand, I loop to backhand then they pin me on backhand.  I can't quite get behind the ball enough finding myself stretching.

Any tips?

Hi Cameron,

Try to play the ball from your forehand wider to their backhand.  Then they won’t be able to get such a good angle to your backhand side.  You could also think about changing the positioning with your shots.  Sometimes hit the ball to their forehand side and then start moving straight to your backhand side.  This can be done as a change up so that they are not waiting on their backhand side.
