Training
I have been playing table tennis in my school everyday for almost 2 years. I played so much until i actually got to quite a decent level of skill. But this year, on the last week of school when MOST of the members for school went for camp. I only had this one good friend to play with. But however, since there were only 2 of us playing after a few balls i actually got a certain FEEL. Its like being in the groove kind of thing. I could play balls that i could never even have tried to before. Like topspin smash from close range and when my friend returns the ball step all the way VERY far back, and smash it again....and then after that had to dive to try and get his slight touch of a return...AND I STILL GOT THE POINT! but now there has been a one and a half month holiday and school has ended and restarted. But now that school has started i have not played for so long and I find that i have lost so many of my skills. What do you recommend doing to try and get back on track to how I was playing before?

          Hi Miguel,
It is just about getting back on the table and getting regular practice again. You will improve again. The rest will not effect your overall performance in the long term.

In this session we introduce some random drills. A random drill is where you don't always know where the ball is going. Random drills are really important for your development as they are more game like. You need to be able to play your strokes well even when you don't know where the ball is going. We also continue to work on your new serve. This week we introduce a target into your service practice to help you gain even more control on your serve.
