Hi Bharat,

Getting nervous is natural.  Everyone does it.  One simple technique I use is when I start to feel myself getting nervous I take a deep breath and then think about what I want to do on the next point.  If you are serving, think about the serve you will do, if you are returning, then think about the direction of your return.

Against a chopper you should try to use your topspin when he is close to the table.  Look at the Blog on Playing against Defenders.  Then also watch the lesson on how to play the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin.  This is an important stroke when playing defenders.  Good luck.

I am glad that we have been able to help.
