HI Alois and Jeff

I'm Dilena and my coach Michael Belot is teaching me to brush the back part of the ball with an open face every ball slow and spinny with high trajectory, sometimes when I topspin the ball a little faster  with a more closed surface my coach tells me off and tells me not to do it.

I'm not sure what stroke to do ?

Hi Dilena,

Michael is very good at showing you the basics and developing good control.  Stay with what he is telling you.  Later he will move you further through different strokes.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
