Dear Coach Alois,

Great talking to you after a while. I have improved a lot since watching Pingskills.  I have a question on my Forehand Topspin. My coach says that my start and finish positions are all correct and also that I can play the stroke with lots of speed and power. I can execute it effectively and pretty consistently and hit winners in matches. But how can I get a lot more spin on my forehand topspin while still maintaining the speed and power?

Thank you and Best regards,

Sky

Hi Sky,

Good to hear that you are making improvements in your game.  Well done.

To add more spin while maintaining speed you need to just think about a slightly finer contact on the ball.  If you make the contact too fine then you will lose speed so it is a matter of small degrees.  Don't focus too much on the fine degrees, just think about generating more spin by brushing the ball.
