Strategy
Hi Alois and Jeff
My forehand topspin is a lot better than my forehand counterhit, but in my backhand, my backhand counterhit/aggresive block is a lot better than my backhand topspin.
What do you think about using forehand topspin and backhand counterhit as my aggresive strokes? (except when the ball has backspin or im far from the table, in that situation i would use my backhand topspin)
I feel good using this because I usually hit the ball earlier in my backhand and later in my forehand.
I think also it gives variation to the oponent without any difficult for me.
What do you think about this style? do you have any tips to get better at this?
Thanks for all!
Hi Francisco,
I think this is a very valid style and one that a lot of players use. With this style you can have a more forehand oriented stance so that you can swing more on the forehand and still play a backhand counterhit.

A chopper likes to get back from the table and get into a nice rhythm. If you keep the defender close to the table in the early part of the rally, it's hard for them to transition back into their chopping position. So keep the ball short on your serve and try and catch them unprepared. Watch the video to find out more great tactics to use against a defensive chopper.
