hi, when i am in a rally most of the time i am hitting backhand pushes or forehand pushes. does the ball have to be a certain height ,to be able to hit a forehand drive or a backhand flick?  regards leon.

Hi Leon,

What you need to work on is your topspin stroke.  You can play this from any height as long as your technique is correct. Take a look at the lessons on the Forehand Topspin and also the Lesson on the Forehand Topspin against Backspin.  If you can master these it will help you.

The backhand flick is a little more difficult.  It is easier if the ball bounces up a little higher and is close to the net.  Take a look at that Lesson on the Backhand Flick as well.
