Hi, Alois

I have a minor question about forehand topspin. If you imagine a clock on the ball, can you tell me where should be the contact point, for example, on three, four, twelve o'clock? Of course, the boll is in front of you.

Hi Sasha,

You can contact the ball anywhere from 12 to 3 o'clock.  If you have a hard sponge rubber with a tacky surface you can contact it closer to 12.  With a softer sponge you can contact it closer to 3.

The Finish Position

There are 3 basic areas to focus on when learning a stroke: 1) The position of your feet. 2) The starting position of your bat. 3) The finishing position of your bat. Of all these 3 elements the finish position is the most critical. Watch this video to find out why.
