Strokes
Hi sir...i recently started to practice forehand shots and smashes but the problem is that the style of my playing forehand shots is not right. After watching the video u uploaded teaching how to play forehand...i realized that i am not able to play the way Jeff plays those forehand shots...can u help me with that..??
Hi Fahad,
My best advice is to go back and do the stroke slower and with more control. You will need to do this to make sure the technique is correct. Everyone can do this, no matter their level. It is a matter of focusing on the start and finish posiitons of your stroke. Jeff is doing nothing different. He has just done it more times than you and cna now do it consistently every time and faster, but he too started by doing the stroke slowly until he could do it well.
Question actions
Most players are told to always return to the ready position after every stroke but that might be hurting your game. In this video, we reveal a smarter way to recover:
✔ Track the ball immediately after your shot
✔ Move your racket into position for the next shot instead of blindly resetting
✔ Improve your timing, balance, and flow during rallies
Whether you’re a beginner or advanced player, understanding this subtle change can have a big impact on your consistency and speed around the table.
