Strokes
How to play an inside-out forehand against a chopper? how does the footwork needs to be?
Hi Sudhakar,
Firstly treat this shot with a lot of respect because it is difficult.
Your feet need to be balanced and stable like any other stroke in Table Tennis. Then the contact of the ball needs to be brushing on the inside of the ball. The same principles apply as the ones we show you in our lesson on the Sidespin Forehand Topspin.
When you need to reach that really wide ball the regular shuffle step just won't get you there in time so you need to use the crossover step. This is essentially a running action to get you to the ball as fast as possible.
