Hi PingSkills,

I am missng my forehand drive crosscourt and downline very often. I play RH, for service or return  to my BH corner I am able to chop return, block and flick and for few of returns to my BH I am pivoting and returning on BH.

But when it comes to my FH drive I am very often missing the drive, ball is getting past below my bat and I want to do a proper FH Drive crosscourt but I am starting with FH Topspin return and ending with my hand getting fixed at that position.

I practice a lot playing against the wall might be this is reason for my improper return. How do I correct my FH drive return??.

Regards,

Dep

Hi Dep,

It is probably better that you try to find a partner to hit against.  The wall provides a different flight of the ball so that may be the problem.  When you are facing another player the ball is coming back slightly differently so it may be forcing the error.

Hi Alois,

Thank you for your reply, I practice a lot against wall but also I play with my friends on table but still I am not able to do a FH drive attack. I guess my bat is coming flat at contact and that is why I am missing the FH Drive attack??

Regards,

Dep
