Hey coaches, i serve a short side top which my opponent gives a rather high push mid table with backspin or when i get a poor short return. I try to loop it but im unable to get it a position quick enough to do so which causes me to put the ball in the net same with the backhand side.

Hi Jack,

This type fo ball can be difficult.  You need to get your legs close to the table and allow for the backspin.  Because you have served with topspin the ball will come back with quite a lot of backspin in this situation.  Make sure you are lifting the ball even if it is high.
