hi alois and jeff,

i feel a bit awkward in the ranks of my coaching because all the players there(except me) have strong forehand offenses but without much topspin. can please give me some advice on improving forehand side topspin/loop(fast ones), sidespin, and counterhits( fast ones) that can help me feel at par with them?

i took a really close look at the demos jeff gave but then i find copying his stroke, i cant play very controlled/fast shots. even if i do land it on the table, it has spin without speed. any advice here?

thanks so much!

Hi Shripathi,

Just keep working on the stroke as much as you can.   The speed will come with more practice of the stroke.  Once you get technique then you will also start to get fluency which will give it the extra speed.

Try not to focus on what the others are doing, think about what you are doing and working on to improve.
