Hi Alois.

i have got a couple of questions.

1) When i do the forehand loop sometimes to keep the ball low over the net i do a more forward swing and when i do this swing i end up in a finish position that is NOT the 90-90 that you recommend(the elbow joint goes upto around 110 degrees)Is it okay if i  continue to do it or should i rectify it?

2)While doing the forehand loop is it okay to use the wrist ( i seldom use it) and will its usage put any unwanted sidespin on the ball ?

THANKS A LOT SIR.

Hi Abriham,

For the faster ball you can extend your arm a little more forward.  More important is to make sure the arm doesn't go past the midline of your body.

You can use the wrist.  We do have a video for Premium members on Advanced Forehand Topspin which goes through the use of the wrist in the stroke.

Think about keeping it relaxed and allowing it to come through with the arm.
