Hi Pingskills

When doing the forehand loop should your arm be tensed or not.  And my other question is how to get your topspin low because i have a habit of doing a very high topspin and it normally goes off the table and my last question is should i always wait for my opponet to attack.

Thanks

Hi Enoch,

You should keep your arm relaxed throughout the stroke.  Relaxation means that the muscles are working int he correct order.  Any tension means you are stopping that.

To change the height of the ball can be as simple as turning the bat angle slightly forward or backward.  In your case, if the ball is going too high, just tilt your bat forward and the ball will go lower.

In a match it is best to make the first attack.  If you allow your opponent to attack they will have the upper hand.  Think about making a topspin when you can.
