Forehand elbow space

Strokes

Hi guys, just wondering if you could answer a question I had. When playing the forehand I see most of your shots are with your elbow quite close to your bodies. Is this crucial? Because I find it much more comfortable with the elbow further away from the body. This comes from my tennis habbits. I was wondering whether this is bad or if I can keep it a bit further away?

Hi Tristan,

For more control you can have your elbow closer.  If you want to generate more power then you can increase the distance between your body and your elbow to make a bigger swing.
