i am a beginner learning. have played for many years(51yr old) but cannot get forehand drive.have watched your videos etc had one group coaching lesson who is frustrated i cant get it coz i keep either top spinning,no power,cocked wrist,etc. any suggestions?

Hi Paul,

I would start by going back a step and just controlling the ball over.  Go back to the most important skill lesson.  It is all about tapping the ball back on the table.  Then you can progress to adding a little more to your stroke till you are making the forehand counterhit. 

Always look to keep things simple first.  If it is not working go back a step by slowing it down.
