Forehand Counterhit technique

Strokes

Hi Alois,

I have a question about the forehand counter-hit. I'm not actually sure which technique I should use. When you finish with the forehand counter-hit and the racquet is directly in front of your head, should I still swipe the air until my arm is directly in front of my face? And also, when you start the forehand counter-hit, should I start the racquet from the ground instead of on top of the table like how you did it in the grip video.

My questions are a bit hard to understand, sorry about that.

Thanks, Caleb

Hi Caleb,

Look at our lesson on the Forehand Counterhit and pay particular attention to the start and finish positions that we emphasise.  If you get these correct you will start to do the stroke correctly.
