Strokes
How to forehand fast when your from far?
Hi Ibrahim,
When you are further from the table you have time to make a bigger swing at the ball and generate more speed with the stroke.
It is difficult to make a powerful enough shot to win the point from back there so you are better to make a shot with placement and try to work your way back into the table.
When you need to reach that really wide ball the regular shuffle step just won't get you there in time so you need to use the crossover step. This is essentially a running action to get you to the ball as fast as possible.
