Hello!

Today I was doing my first replace of rubber and it didn't go so well. I took my rubber off and glued the new Rakza 7 and the blade. But then when it was time to apply the rubber on the blade I failed totally. I tried that my rubber would be exactly by the handle. But the rubber did go alot higher then the handle. It seems that my play will be worse. I was trying to take it off, but it was to late it was already on the bat. After that it was time to cut it did go well but little bit wrong and edgy. And then the same thing happened on the other side. All I could do was adding edge tape. Now I feel pretty ruined. Like 100 USD gone. The worse thing. Is that I don't know what will happen with the blade. If it will be destroyed too than I probably won't have any equipment. I am only 12 years old and I have to buy all the equipment and cloths for my money. 35 USD month is not that much for all that gear.

Now to the part I would love to get a answer. What should I do to get the rubber lower so it is exactly by the handle like you made it for me when I bought the PingSkills touch.

Thanks Alot! Appreciate your help!!

Hi Dima,

Don't worry about the rubber being a bit higher.  You will get used to it.  Use it till the rubber wears out and then you can replace them again.  It is more important that the middle of the racket is OK because that is where most of the hitting happens, not so much around the edges.

Next time you glue a fresh sheet of rubber, start applying it at the top of the handle, then roll it out to the top (without pulling). You can find many videos on the web demonstrating this. I also find it helpfull to mark the middle of the rubber sheet, to be aligned with the center of the handle.

Well I saw it wasn't a big problem but thanks for the awesome support! I am playing really good with Rakza 7 really fun rubber and spinny. I recommend it for those who played with mark V.
