Hi Coach,

1)Can i take off the rubber from custom made bats and paste the same on some other blade?

2) also, is it true that if you don't use your bat for a long period of time- say three to four months the rubber wanes a bit in terms of grip and quality (assuming we take care of it store it in a good safe place away from direct sunlight, dust, but just dont use it for day to day playing)

Hi Manish,

You can take the rubber off a custom made bat.  Just do it slowly and start at one edge and work your way around the bat lifting the rubber slowly as you go around.

If you store a rubber well without any dirt or heat it should last a long time.  Cover it with plastic preferably airtight like a cling wrap.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
