Hi there, I'm an Intermediate table tennis player with an upcoming tournament. I was wondering how you control your excitement and energy so you do not release it all at once.

Hi Kees,

This can be difficult especially when you are faced with something new or too exciting.

The key is to try to keep yourself as calm as possible during the day.  The event will get you going enough you don't need to rev yourself up.

Take a look at our section on Sports Psychology as well to find the tutorial on Recognise Your Feelings.  Th is is a good starting point.
