Strokes
Hi Coaches!
I played a long pimple player and I tryed to figure out what the effect is of a pure sidespin serve when returned (push motion) by long pimples?
Is there in that case any need to lift the ball a little bit? Or can I hit the ball flat on like it's a topspin ball?
Thx!
Hi Bertus,
You can hit straight through this ball. It will go back with sidespin and a bit of wobble.

Table tennis is fast, but rushing your shots is the biggest mistake we see. Hitting the ball too early throws off your timing, balance, and control. In this video, we show you how to play with better rhythm and stay calm under pressure.

Thx Alois for the quick answer!
I did hit through the ball with a fairly open bat but the results were diffirent. I think that's due to my serve as it might had some under or topspin in it initialy. I'll stick to the basic no spin and backspin serves when playing pimples! :)
