Hi Alois,

I'm from Italy, and I'm looking for an ittf approved table, and I do not need a foldable one so I'm uncertain between Butterfly Europa25 and Donic Compact 25.

The Donic one looks pretty similar to Butterfly Europa 25, and it is 160 euro cheaper.
I heard that Donic is produced by Sponeta, actually it should be just a Sponeta S7 23 rebranded by Donic.
My doubts are about the quality of the top and the surface treatment: bounce, spin etc.

Have you ever played with a Donic Compact 25?
Is the bounce and spin very different respect to the Butterfly Europa 25?
Thank you so much for your suggestions!

Hi Francesco,

They both look like good quality tables.  If the Donic is a lot cheaper I would go for that one.

If anyone else has played on the Donic table please let Francesco know.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
