Hi,

I'm not too keen on playing doubles, I don't really enjoy it much except playing for fun with friends when it can be a really good laugh. But I would play it more often if I thought some aspect of it would help my singles performance. So my question is - Does playing doubles help you play singles?

Many Thanks

Hi Roger,

I don't think there is a lot of benefit in doubles for your singles game.  You are better off practicing more singles if you have to make a decision between the two.

#38 - Backhand 3rd Ball Attack

The backhand topspin off backspin is often considered a harder shot than the forehand. In this week's training session we focus on utilising this shot to make a 3rd ball attack. If you can master this your opponents will find it difficult to stop you attacking and you will constantly have them under pressure.
