Distance for forehand shot

Strokes

Hi,

Had a practice session a while ago and have been standing at least an arm's length away from table when practicing my backhand loops and this has been very successful. But when I tried the same thing for my forehand loop, I found that I was too far away from the table to execute a proper shot. What is the solution ? Should I step in with my left foot ? Thanks

Hi Julian,

Yes try stepping in with your left foot to get a bit closer to the ball.  Perhaps even try hitting the ball a little earlier.
