Is there difference between a lob and a fish?

Hi Kaustubh,

A lob tends to be higher. Β A fish is the name for more of a low flying lob that is difficult for the player to smash. Β It usually forces them to play a topspin stroke.

so when it's time to do a fish or lob to trick the opponent or to make a counter attack?

If you are in a good position away from the table putting in the low ball will put more pressure on your opponent. Β If you are struggling for time them put the ball up higher to give yourself time to get position for the next ball.
