The videos here are very helpful, they have taken my game to another. Thanks a ton for them.
I'm having problem understanding/detecting the amount of backspin or topspin applied by my opponent. As a result when i play against them, either it be topspin on the coming ball or defending, my ball either hits the net or goes off the board.

This is not an easy thing to fix but it is what makes the game so interesting as well. The main thing is to watch the contact, the flight of the ball and also listen to the contact. All of these things in combination will help you to detect the amount of spin.
