I was doing ma Lin serve on my table then I hit it on my table, I dont notice till 10minutes on the side of my racket there is a bump.  Should I take the edge tape off? Because I spent over £100 on the bat and the a small part of the rubber has lifted.

Hi Yiannis,

Don't worry too much.  This will not effect the performance of the racket.  It is probably best to leave the edge tape on for now.  If you lift it off it may do more damage at this stage.  Press the rubber down firmly.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Thanks and is wood putty something to consider?

Yes you can use that if the dent becomes too big.  The ball won't hit that area too much and if it does it probably wouldn't be a good shot anyway... so the wood putty will be fine.
